Electrical device which makes it possible to increase or decrease the voltage in an AC electrical circuit, maintaining the power. The power that enters the unit, in the case of an ideal transformer (i.e., without losses), is equal to what is obtained at the output.
Established in 1949, it is a company specialised in low and high frequency magnetic components. With factories in Germany and Ukraine, and a workforce of 600 employees, it has a 50% market share in Europe. Its main products include EI30, ferrite transformers and medium and high-power chokes.
