These types of batteries, also called Malloryson batteries, use potassium hydroxide as electrolyte and obtain power thanks to a chemical reaction produced between zinc and manganese dioxide. They are not rechargeable and they exist in different formats: AA, AAA, AAAA, C, D, N, A23. They last up to 9 times longer than a Zinc battery.
